The theatre is made up of an Orchestra (ground level), which is ADA accessible, a Mezzanine and a Balcony. The Mezzanine and Balcony are only reachable via stairs, unfortunately, the Colonial does not have an elevator.

Like many theatres, The Colonial utilizes alternate seat numbers on the right and left side of the house: even numbers on house right, odd numbers on house left. Seats in the center begin with 101 and run consecutively.

  • Convenience Fees
The Colonial Performing Arts Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Service fees help offset operational costs not covered by ticket prices — costs that support and enhance your experience, including Box Office staffing, website maintenance, and phone system services.

    Online and Phone Purchases:

    • $5.50 per ticket (for tickets priced $20 and above)

    • $3.00 per ticket (for tickets priced $19 and under)

Convenience fees are waived for purchases made in person at our Box Office.

    Historic Preservation and Maintenance Fees
A portion of each ticket sold supports the historic preservation and ongoing maintenance of The Colonial Theatre. This fee is included in the ticket price you see at checkout.

  • At most performances, the Colonial Performing Arts Center sells wine and beer at our two venues. You must be 21 years or older to purchase or consume alcohol. Anyone underage found to be in possession of alcohol will be immediately escorted out of the building. Anyone bringing in outside alcohol will be immediately escorted from the building.

Smoking and vaping is strictly prohibited in all areas of both venues.

    Children/Youth

EVERYONE attending an event at The Colonial Theatre or SHOWROOM – including youth (17 years and under), children (12 years old and under) and babes-in-arms – must have a ticket to enter.

  • Photography and/or video/audio recording, including from a smart phone, is not permitted at any performance.

The Colonial may engage with local media and photographers to obtain professional images of our events. Professional recording is coordinated with artists and tours in advance and does not permit audience members to take their own photos/recordings.

  • It is rare for us to cancel or postpone an event due to weather. Artists tour in all weather conditions and will make every effort to fulfill their engagement. In the event of extreme weather, we will notify ticket buyers of any postponement or cancellation as soon as possible. Only in that case will refunds or exchanges be permitted.
