Journey back in time to 18th-century Venice, 19th-century Berlin, and 20th-century Warsaw through the lens of three brilliant women composers: Maddalena Lombardi Syrmen, Emilie Mayer, and Grażyna Bacewicz. Next, two minimalists, Estonian Arvo Pärt and American Philip Glass mesmerize with beauty and drama. The afternoon concert concludes closer to home with historic New Hampshire composer, Amy Beach’s romantic Theme and Variations for Flute and String Quartet, joined by award-winning New York-based flutist, Gretchen Pusch.
Following the performance, the audience is invited to gather in the lobby for light refreshments and conversation.
